So I just started my 12th month on claravis and it has been a journey. It took about 6 months and quite a few dosage changes before I really started to see any progress in my skin. My only real noticeable side effect was the dryness in my face, and then as summer came and the duration continued the rest of my body became a little dryer. But nothing slathering on lotion couldn't alleviate.

I have been on Accutane nearly 5 months. I started on 30mg and increased t 60mg after a month. I had severe acne on my face and back for many years and had tried all the treatments physically affordable. My acne has improved significantly and my skin is mainly clear. The road to begin with was very rocky and it took time to see results

Worked great, until 6 months after I stopped, I started breaking out again but no where near as bad. I don't want to take it again because it's very expensive, monthly doctor visits and blood work, and just everything you have to go through is annoying but I'm glad I took it the first time because it works just not worth the hassle to do it again

Using it for a week. Acne is reducing.

Severe side effects from accutane! DO NOT BUY IT!

One of my friends stopped me from using it. Is it so horrible?

My doctor prescribed it. My face is smooth and clear now.

Accutane (Isotretinoin) is prescribed to treat severe type of acne known as nodular acne. Works good but there are too many side effects.

Accutane hasn't helped me at all. It doesn't bring any changes with acne.

This "last resort" medication can clear your face but then ruin your life with those side effects. Is it worth it? No.

to Julie: yes, it's high risk drug but it is the only "last resort" medication for severe acne.

Accutane cleared my acne but side effects were horrible. My advice is to try something natural.

Clears breakouts immediately but then they go back immediately.

I used accutane about 6 years ago when I was 18 for 9 months. It cleared up my skin, but just a few short months later the acne was back.

dry lips, dry eyes, dry nose, nose bleeds, headaches. scars, severe loss of hair, thinning of skin, bubbles on the inside of my eyelids, and joint pain, and most of all depression/lack in being seen publicly. enough side effects?

I was presrcibed Accutane by my dermatologist. My skin cleared up after a month of taking the medication. It worked wonders. But then my acne started to come back a few months later.

This drug works very well BUT make sure you continue to read the possible side effects every so often so you can continually monitor yourself for them.
